PE3000 / PE100 Networking

With LINX Net

If you presently use a LINX Network, the PE3000 and CP100 with or without a PE100 Enhancement Kit are LINX compatible. Many of currently installed PE3000s communicate via LINX. There is, of course, an annual "node" charge by LINX Test Systems for each test system connected to a LINX Network.

Without LINX Net

If you do not use a LINX Network, and your testers are controlled by PE3000s and/or CP100s with PE100 Enhancement Kits, then you may network using any method that allows connection to DOS or WIN95 or WIN-NT.

One very efficient and economical method is to network through logical drives (Windows 95/NT or DOS). This technique uses standard Ethernet and does not require an expensive network with costly annual renewal fees.

This configuration also allows remote control of systems. An Engineer from any place in the world can take control of a test system as if he or she were at the system console.
