DTS II is a complete DTS VME hardware replacement
and
DTS Tester enhancement |
|
|
|
|
|
ATE Support is now offering a productivity enhancement for MMS manufactured DTS testers. The
DTS II Upgrade consist of a PC based controller that replaces the original VME computer and a newly designed voltmeter board. Built to improve the throughput and reliability of the DTS tester, the
DTS II Upgrade will increase the production capacity of existing DTS systems.

Features and Upgrades:
-
A modern rack-mount Pentium powered PC/monitor replaces the obsolete
VME.
-
A newly designed voltmeter board that is both faster and more reliable than the old version.
-
The DTS II Upgrade emulates the VME controller for complete
compatibility.
-
New C Language interface provides C programming capability.
-
A new Scope Display feature is integrated into the DTS II for time measurements.
-
Off line program development capability on a PC using DTS OS.

Benefits:
-
More computing power and higher clock speed allows measurements and computations to be done much faster. This means throughput increases by 15% to 30%, on average, for products tested with the DTS II Upgrade.
-
Increased throughput reduces labor and hardware costs because capacity increases as a result of shorter test times not new testers, probers or handlers. New operators are not required because the number of tester does not increase.
-
Readily available PC hardware and peripherals means high reliability and less production down time. Printer, monitors, memory and disk drives are off the shelf so sourcing difficult and expensive parts is no longer a problem.

-
The screen looks the same - very little training is needed for operators and engineers.
-
Engineers can write new test programs using modern C Language.
-
The redesigned voltmeter board provides faster measurements eliminating the bottleneck in the testing sequence.
-
Emulating the VME controller means that existing test programs and application hardware remains the same. No extensive test program rewriting is required.
-
Networking is no longer a problem. The DTS II Upgrade can be networked with any of the available PC network or Microsoft solutions.
-
A new Scope Display feature is integrated into the DTS II for time measurements.
-
Off line program development capability on a PC using DTS OS.
